Profs. Gazzola, Hutchens, Jasiuk, Matlack and Tawfick are the latest faculty to be recognized with promotion with tenure and/or a named appointment.

MechSE now boasts five more faculty who received a named appointment and/or earned tenure, as the department continues to excel in the area of prestigious faculty honors and achievements.
Mattia Gazzola was named a Charles Conrad Kritzer Faculty Scholar and was elevated to Associate Professor with tenure.
Shelby Hutchens was elevated to Associate Professor with tenure.
Professor Iwona Jasiuk has been named a Richard W. Kritzer Faculty Scholar.
Katie Matlack was named a Richard W. Kritzer Faculty Scholar and was elevated to Associate Professor with tenure.
Associate Professor Sam Tawfick has been named a Ralph A. Andersen Faculty Scholar.
Each named appointment comes with discretionary funds to be used in support of their research activities.
