Personal Filament Policy

We do not allow studio-users to bring personal filament in. If you have any questions regarding this policy, please contact Space Director Nathan Hochhalter.

Online Print Queue

In order to print, please approach an on-duty volunteer to be put on the print queue. This will allow you to track the progress of your print from your personal computer. You must be present when your name is called, otherwise your spot is forfeited. You may only have one printer at a time, and you cannot be in the queue while you have a print ongoing.

Slicing Your Print

Unsure if your print is under or over 2 hours? Utilize the Ultimaker's S5 slicing software. If you need assistance, please approach a volunteer! We can help to optimize your print for efficacy and strength.

Utilizing the Laser Cutters

  • A volunteer must be present to verify the setup of laser cutters prior to cutting/engraving.
  • Laser cutter utilization is on a first come first serve for all studio-users, but MechSE Design Courses take priority over research and personal use.
  • You may only use one cutter at a time.
  • You must provide your own material to print. There is material available to purchase in the storeroom.
