The Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering (MechSE) is a large and comprehensive department, and our Mechanical Engineering (ME) and Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (TAM) graduate programs are among the top-ranked in the world.


In response to the challenges faced by many applicants due to the effects of COVID-19 pandemic, MechSE will continue to waive the GRE requirement for all applicants to any of our graduate programs until further notice.
