M Quinn BrewsterEffective August 16, Professor Quinn Brewster will serve as Director of MechSE’s Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering (M.Eng.ME) Program. He currently serves as Associate Director of the program.

The current Director, Professor Jiajun He, will continue to be involved through student advising, coordinating instructors, and providing course instruction to students.

“I believe that, in addition to understanding the day-to-day needs of the program, Quinn possesses a compelling vision of excellence and educational impact through our M.Eng.ME,” said Department Head Tony Jacobi. “His prior service as Associate Head for Graduate Programs [2005-2008] also equips him with a unique perspective and understanding of how the M.Eng.ME is related to and differentiated from our other graduate programs.

The M.Eng.ME is a professionally oriented master’s program providing advanced knowledge and experiential opportunities. Curriculum is delivered to both on-campus and online students, with the online program ranked 3rd in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.  This vibrant, growing program prepares new engineers and those already in practice as they pursue their dreams and address societal challenges.

“I thank Jiajun for years of dedicated service that, with assistance from Susan Roughton, effectively launched and established our M.Eng.ME program as one of the premier programs in the country,” Jacobi said.
