Despite the weather, Engineering Open House draws huge crowds yet again

This year's Engineering Open House took place March 31 and April 1. Student groups, research labs, and others setup over 200 exhibits that engaged thousands of visitors from across the state of Illinois. 

In MechSE, the Graduate Programs Office and Undergraduate Programs Office created an exhibit entitled Women in MechSE: Impact Through Research. Their booth, on the second floor of Sidney Lu MEB, highlighted our women faculty research and offered an accompanying activity at which school-age attendees created a mirror in a petri dish -- in order to more clearly "see" themselves as engineers.
