Miljkovic named ASME Fellow
The ASME Board of Governors confers the Fellow grade of membership on worthy candidates to recognize their outstanding engineering achievements. Nominated by their peers, ASME Fellows have had 10 or more years of active practice and at least 10 years of continuous active corporate membership in ASME.
Miljkovic, who also holds a Kritzer Faculty Scholar appointment, has focused his career on overcoming several of the thermal science and engineering grand challenges by developing, publishing, and patenting advanced energy technologies that focus on addressing global climate change. He was honored for his seminal research and development that have demonstrated significant impact in this field.
Specifically, he has worked to improve cooling and heat pumping systems and has taken huge steps to decarbonize industrial processes, among other significant efforts.
Miljkovic's research intersects the multidisciplinary fields of thermo-fluid sciences, interfacial phenomena, and renewable energy. He joined the MechSE faculty in 2014 as an assistant professor.
