U.S. News ranks Illinois No. 5 in mechanical engineering

In the 2021 graduate school rankings from U.S. News and World Report, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign improved to No. 5 in mechanical engineering.

In January, the same noted publication ranked Illinois No. 3 in online graduate education for mechanical engineering.

The MechSE Department's associate head for graduate programs is Professor Taher Saif.
