Associate Professor Kimani Toussaint, Jr. was recently invited to join the editorial board of the Electronics, Photonics and Device Physics theme of the journal Scientific Reports. Effective immediately, Toussaint would serve on the board for a two-year term. 
 
Scientific Reports was launched in 2011 by the Nature Publishing Group. The London-based journal is a multidisciplinary, online-only, open access publication covering all areas of the natural sciences. 
 
Toussaint’s research focuses on optical microscopy; polarization vector beams; and nano-and biophotonics. He directs the PROBE Laboratory (Photonics Research of Bio/Nano Environments) in the MechSE Department at Illinois.
