MechSE student Kyle S. Nagy is the first recipient of the C.S. Larson Transfer Student Award for being an outstanding transfer student. The C.S. Larson Transfer Student Award was established last year at the Knights of St. Patrick Ball in honor of Carl Larson, who was a previous transfer student at the University that went on to be an Illinois alumnus, long-time professor, and assistant dean. While at the University he took a special interest to help transfer students acclimate and excel in the College of Engineering. Engineering students know him as “St. Pat,” because for 20 years he introduced the new class of Knights in the College of Engineering and will now continue to remember him as this award recognizes the gifts and contributions other transfer students will bring to the College of Engineering.
