Professors Kenneth Christensen and Dimitrios Kyritsis have been elected to the grade of Associate Fellow by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Nominees must be Senior Members with at least 12 years of professional experience and are nominated by at least three AIAA members of Associate Fellow grade or above.
Advancement to Associate Fellow membership is bestowed upon individuals “who have accomplished or been in charge of important engineering or scientific work, or who have done work of outstanding merit or have otherwise made outstanding contributions to the arts, sciences, or technology of aeronautics or astronautics.”
They will be honored at an Associate Fellows dinner held in conjunction with the 49th AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting and Exhibit in Orlando, FL in January 2011.
