Kelsey is focusing this semester on taking care of herself and managing the stress that comes with her rigorous academic schedule. She previously served as Engineering Open House co-chair for Alpha Omega Epsilon, a professional engineering sorority, representing the organization to elementary and high school student visitors of the event. Kelsey is also an English minor and loves reading poetry and fiction. She enjoys K-pop music and is learning Korean; she studied abroad in Hong Kong in the summer of 2018 and hopes to live in Asia for at least a year in the future.
Kelsey was honored to be a 2018-19 recipient of the Robert K. Baetzmann Scholarship. “I’ve found an amazing community of people at Illinois, and I’ve grown so much in the past few years. Having the scholarships I’ve received has truly contributed to my time here, and I feel very lucky to have this financial support.”
She is interested in working in the aerospace, biomedical devices, energy, or transportation industries upon graduation.
