Aman MehtaAman Mehta is a junior in Mechanical Engineering and a member of iSEE’s Energy iCAP team for 2022-23.

He heard about the Illinois Climate Action Plan through a friend and decided that getting involved with the iCAP teams would be a perfect fit for him. He is always looking for sustainability-related activities on campus because he hopes to get more field experience while meeting like-minded individuals who share similar passions.

With a background in mechanical engineering, Mehta is highly interested in optimizing machines to improve efficiency and overall sustainability. His fascination with the future of Green Energy is what brought him to the iCAP team in the first place.

Mehta appreciates the fact that the iCAP teams facilitate communication and collaboration for everyone — from students to faculty members. This elevates the significance of these issues to a greater level. He hopes to contribute as much as he can in discussions about energy efficiency on campus, especially by presenting his own ideas to team members.

Mehta loves sports. In his free time, he can be found playing soccer or following his fantasy football teams. He also enjoys board games, hiking, and lifting weights.
