Tucker Appointed Associate Dean for Academic Programs

Charles Tucker, Alexander Rankin Professor of Mechanical Engineering, has been appointed Associate Dean for Academic Programs in the College of Engineering. He replaces Umberto Ravaioli, who served in the position as Interim Dean.Tucker joined the University of Illinois in 1978. He received two- and five-year effective teaching awards from MechSE and the Everitt Award for Teaching Excellence from the College of Engineering. He served as MechSE's Associate Head for Undergraduate Programs from 2003 to 2007.
