The New York Times reports that MechSE alumnus K.R. Sridhar’s company, Bloom Energy, plans to greatly expand after the announcement of a deal with Equinix.
“I came full circle,” said Sridhar (PhDME ’90), who also received degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Illinois. “I was thinking, ‘I can do something to make this planet a little more sustainable.'”
