MIT Department Head Talks About Experiments in ME Education

Rohan Abeyaratne, the Quentin Berg Professor of Mechanics and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at MIT, spoke about new approaches in mechanical engineering education at the annual MechSE-sponsored Alwin Schaller Distinguished Lecture on November 8.

The featured speaker spoke about the need for fresh approaches in mechanical engineering education and shared some of the experiments his department has been conducting in its beginning solid mechanics class for undergraduates.
