At this summer's fifth annual GBAM camp (Girls Building Awesome Machines), part of the GAMES series of camps hosted by the College of Engineering, and the coed camp, Exploring MechSE, high school students are immersing themselves in mechanical engineering. Taking place in and around MEL and MEB, last week and this week, the camp is led by Education Coordinator Joe Muskin, along with many MechSE graduate students and professors Elif Ertekin and Matt West.

This year, the campers are building their own working 3D printers from the ground up, as well as learning about swimming robots, prosthetics, and sensor technology.
