MechSE Graduate Degrees

2 students at computer

MechSE designs its degree programs with as much flexibility as possible so that its students can pursue as many research interests as possible.  Students may choose from courses in departmental research areas such as fluid mechanics and thermal sciences, solid mechanics and materials, controls and dynamics, nanomechanics and nanomanufacturing, and biomechanics.  The curriculum also allows students to count engineering courses from other departments on campus toward their degree requirements.

The following degree programs are offered:

Part-time enrollment is permitted for students in the MechSE Master of Engineering programs and the online MSME program.  All other programs require full-time enrollment.

MechSE is also the home department for students enrolled in the Master of Engineering in Computational Engineering program.  The MechSE Graduate Program Office and the Computational Science and Engineering Center jointly coordinate the program administration for this program.  Please see the MEng in Computational Engineering website for degree requirements and additional information.
