Student Wins IEEE CDC Best Paper Award
Doctoral student Yu Sun received the 2007 Best Student Paper Award this December at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Conference on Decision and Control in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The award recognized Sun for his paper, "Fundamental Performance Limitations via Entropy Estimates with Hidden Markov Models," which was published in the conference proceedings. His advisor, Professor Prashant Mehta, was the second author.
The Best Student Paper Award is given annually to recognize papers that demonstrate originality, clarity, and potential impact on practical applications or theoretical foundations of control.
