Graduate Fellowships
The strength of the graduate programs in Mechanical Science and Engineering, the retention of preeminent faculty, and the continuation of important research programs depend in large part on maintaining a healthy roster of top-quality master's and doctoral students.
Our graduate programs are consistently ranked among the best in the nation. We strive to provide our graduate students with research facilities and curriculums that facilitate their development as first-rate engineers and scholars. To ensure that the very best candidates enroll in our graduate programs, we must be able to provide the financial support that allows them to pursue their studies without hardship.
Fellowships—funds that have no specific service requirements attached to them—help MechSE attract and retain the most qualified graduate students. The number of fellowships we are able to offer is entirely dependent upon the support of our individual and corporate donors. Their support has created the following named endowments or current use fellowships in MechSE:
- Eugene and Lina Abraham Fellowship Fund
- Pat & Bette Calabrese Fellowship Endowment Fund
- Caterpillar Fellowship
- Wen Lung Chow Fellowship
- Richard Dlesk Fellowship Fund
- Professor Thomas J. and Virginia B Dolan Endowment Fund
