Research Description
Professor Georgiadis focuses on engineered or natural pattern-forming fluid systems of complex microstructure, which are important in the fields of energy utilization, environmental science, biotechnology and bioengineering. His research group led the use of fast and accurate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) techniques and Lattice Boltzmann numerical schemes for the elucidation of complex flows. He is the co-founder and co-principal investigator for the National Science Foundation (NSF)-funded Science & Technology Center of Advanced Materials for Purification of Water with Systems (WaterCAMPWS), where he co-leads the Interdisciplinary CAMPWS Team on Desalination and Reuse.
