It's so exciting to have our new students arriving on campus, and we look forward to working with you.  Here are the details on available orientation sessions.  Please note that if you are a new TA, you also need to attend the orientation for new TAs, and you should have already received that information via email with your assignment notification.

College of Engineering GradFest 2016
August 18, 2:00-6:30 p.m.
Foellinger, Lincoln, and Engineering Hall.  Check in is at Foellinger Auditorium.
For new graduate students in the College of Engineering.

MechSE MS/PHD New Student Orientation
Friday, August 19, 9:00-10:30 a.m., 2005 MEL
For all new MechSE MS and PhD students

MechSE Master of Engineering New Student Orientation
Friday, August 19, 1:00-2:00 p.m., 2005 MEL
For all Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering students.

Graduate MechSE Students (GraMS) Welcome Cookout
Friday, August 19th, following MechSE MS/PHD Orientation, 11:30am-1:00 p.m., outside of Engineering Hall (Rain location is Deere Pavilion)
For all new MechSE Graduate Students.

New Graduate Student Welcome Reception
Monday, August 22, 4 - 6 p.m.
Illini Union, Illini Rooms and South Lounge
Join the Graduate College for a fun reception to meet peers from all across campus. New and current students are invited to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
 
Graduate Assistant Employee Orientation
This orientation provides information for teaching, research, pre-professional, and graduate assistants regarding appointments and benefits. It is co-sponsored by Academic Human Resources and the Graduate College, and will be offered twice this semester.
