$100-Million Pledge to College of Engineering at Illinois

Yesterday was a big day at the University of Illinois as Chancellor Phyllis Wise announced that the Grainger Foundation has pledged $100 million to support the College of Engineering through establishment of the Grainger Engineering Breakthroughs Initiative.  You can read more about the pledge here.  While you're there, read more about the Grainger Engineering Breakthroughs Initiative.

New to the Grainger Engineering Library?  Did you know that it is the largest engineering library in the country and one of the most technologically advanced information management and retrieval centers in the world?  You can read more about the facility at this website.  

Engineering students at the University of Illinois also have access to the University's Main Library system which holds more than twelve million volumes and 22 million items and materials.  A short video on the history of the University of Illinois library system can be found here.  Want more?
